The Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life organised a two-day International Workshop on
“Women and Work” in Rome on 4th and 5th of December 2015. The workshop focused
on the dichotomy between the needs of work and family faced by women today. It
considered proposals for a more effective promotion of the role of women, especially in
the face of various discriminations in the workplace. The book contains the papers
presented in the Symposium and the report of the discussions.
