Therese shares with us the experience of Carmel. It is one thing to read something and
comment on it but it is quite another to read, contemplate, absorb, embrace the wisdom
found therein, in this case the wisdom of the great doctor and mystic, St. Teresa of Jesus.
Through this labor of love, Mother shares something of her own journey, so personal and
sacred and therefore no small gift. By our reading and prayerful reflection may we also
taste the depth of St. Teresa’s wisdom as found in her charism, so that we too will be “of
Jesus”.
