Description:
This publication investigates mystical experience in the writings of Edith Stein, Gerda
Walther and Aurobindo Ghose. Although it mainly focuses on mystical lived experience,
it deals with phenomenological anthropology to find the conditions that make possible
such an experience. These philosophers recognise an essence or divine trace in the human
structure, where God’s Transcendence manifests to abundantly satisfy the human thirst
for Truth. Hence, this study proposes that a mystical experience goes beyond a direct and
personal God-human relationship to the extent of the highest actualization of human
being.
