This third circular letter for the Year of Consecrated Life invites consecrated people to
live the contemplative dimension in order to rediscover that vital relationship with God,
which allows them to see humanity and creation with his eyes. During one of his homilies
at the Domus Sanctae Marthae, Pope Francis emphasised that: “The contemplative
dimension is indispensable while dealing with urgent and grave issues.”
Contemplate reaffirms this need to restart from the intimate relationship with God in
order to respond to the current challenges of the Church and of the wider world.
