Gift and Mystery
GIFT AND MYSTERY is a testimonial from Pope John Paul II on Fifty years in the priesthood. Archbishop Creseenzio Sepe, Secretary to the Congregation for the Clergy explained that the origins of this book date back to the symposium on the 30th anniversary of the conciliar decree “Prebyterorum Ordinis” in 1995, when the Pope offered a testimonial on his priestly vocation. The titel “Gift and Mystery” clarifies well the nature and the aim of the book. At its deepest level each priestly vocation is a ‘great mystery,’ ‘a gift’ that infinitely surpasses man. In this book besides telling his own story the Supreme Pontiff looks at priesthood and person of the priest whom he defines as “the administrator of the mysteries of God.”

Rosarium Virginis Marie
This Apostolic Letter by Pope John Paul II, issued on October 16, 2002. This Apostolic Letter deals with the Holy Rosary and views it as compendium of the Gospel message: The Rosary, though clearly Marian in character, is at heart a Christocentric prayer. In the sobriety of its elements, it has all the depth of the Gospel message in its entirety, of which it can be said to be a compendium.
