Verbum Domini (The Word of the Lord) is a post-synodal apostolic exhortation issued by Pope Benedict XVI which deals with how the Catholic church should approach the Bible.

Caritas in Veritate (“Charity in Truth”) is the third encyclical of Pope Benedict XVI and his first social encyclical. The encyclical is concerned with the problems of global development and progress towards the common good of all peoples, arguing both Love and Truth are essential elements of an effective response. The encyclical contains detailed reflection on economic and social issues and problems; Other areas discussed include hunger, the environment, migration, sexual tourism, bioethics, cultural relativism, social solidarity, energy and population issues.

This is a unique Collection of the Documents of the Church during the Papacy of Benedict XVI who was the successor of St. Peter from 19th April 2005 to 28th February 2013. Besides the main Documents like Encyclical Letters, Apostolic Exhortations, Apostolic Letters and Apostolic Constitutions; Documents like Motu proprios, Bulas etc. are also included in this Collection. Documents from the Congregation of Faith and from the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated life and Societies of Apostolic Life also form part of an appendix to this Compilation.

Sacramentum Caritatis (“The Sacrament of Charity”) is the first post-synodal (Rome, October 2, 2005-October 23, 2005) postolic exhortation by Pope Benedict XVI. It was signed February 22, 2007. The document expounded on the sacrament of the Eucharist. Following an introduction, it consisted of three parts, each presenting a different perspective of the Church’s understanding of the Eucharist. the three parts referred to the Eucharist as a mystery “to be believed,” “to be celebrated,” and “to be lived.”
